Thanksgiving & black Friday

Last thursday was thanksgiving in US, 22nd November. It is my 2nd thanksgiving but for the first time I stayed at Seattle. Last year I went to a trip to Florida. Well there is nothing much to write about the day. Its special for Americans who wanted a day to celebrate with family n relatives which they don't see much in 364 days a year. They eat a lot of turkey and beer and watch football. can you imagine to eat a 36 pounds of turkey for 8-10 people. Well they don't eat the whole in the lunch, save at least 50% for turkey ham sandwich for next 3-4 days :D ... one of my colleague told me that ... Me n my roommates though of having turkey in lunch on 22nd, so we went to Safeway previous night to search a 5-6 pounds turkey fried or boiled. Oh forgot to mention it takes 5-6 hours to prepare the huge turkey. We didn't had that patience so went for a cooked one. But the least we got was 14 pounds. Idea dropped and we ate some big KFC chicken instead ... how sad but tasty :D ...
Next day was a friday and its called black friday. Well because people go mad shopping anything n everything that day and spent hell lot of money ... shops makes most of their business on that day ... usually people plan for shopping at that day, the whole year ... deals here n there ... cheap tv, dvd etc ... people spent the whole till friday morning in freezing temp outside bug stores hoping to get a damn cheap deal ... well I don't know how they get because I never wanted to waste my comfortable sleep for a 100$ gps, 300$ laptop or 500$ flat panel HDTV ... and I can't sleep in streets the whole night in a queue ... some frnds who made the 40-50 position in the line told that they got some cheap things but the first ten in the queue made the most ... well I have to believe them ... the stores do keep some but very few like 10-20 but thousands of people buy that day ... 40-50 billion worth of money are spent 5% of the whole year ... unbelievable ...
